This book strikes me as not so much "The Roman Way" but as the authoress' impression Latin literature. There's not really anything wrong with that but it's not what I was expecting from the title.

I was a Latin and Ancient Greek major. This book is a great introduction and overview to Roman history, society, and literature. It covers the high points of Rome and gives a taste of the major writers.
